It has been 18 months since Johnia was murdered, but we're no closer to finding her killer than in the beginning. And even though a massive number of DNA samples have been collected, there has been no match to date.

On June 1st we met with Sheriff Tim Hutchison and found out that there is no new information coming in regarding Johnia's murder investigation at this time. So, we gave the Sheriff the petition containing over 2,000 signatures asking that he cooperate with America's Most Wanted in profiling Johnia's case. His response? No.

The Sheriff's impression is that airing Johnia's case on America's Most Wanted will bring in too many leads from other states, therefore placing a strain on the department. Mr. Hutchison also believes that the responsible person is still in the Knoxville area. So, where is the suspect? There isn't one.

Without new leads, how will Johnia's killer ever be found?

By way of the Office of Attorney General Randy Nichols, we have asked that the TBI assist in Johnia's case. We're currently waiting on a reply from Mr. Nichols.

Our only motive in this is to find the person who murdered Johnia. Statistics prove that the longer a case goes unsolved, the less likely it will ever be solved!

We will not give up in our fight to bring justice for Johnia.
