From a Co-worker and Friend of Johnia's

Johnia majored in psychology and criminology at ETSU, and was pursuing a master's degree in psychology at UT. This picture and description is from a friend of Johnia's who worked with her.
"This photo of my co-worker Johnia was taken at work and was one of several taken of all of us at work for a project we had in mind to let clients know who was taking care of them. It was an idea like supermarkets do by posting employee of the month. The project fell apart because most of us left before it was completed. This is my friend that I knew for about three-four years and I remember her being a positive influence on patients and staff to the point that it was a joyable experience working with her and coming to work. She had shared some of her career and life goals with me and I remember that she loved her parents very much and that she became a great friend. She was tragically stabbed in December of 2004 in Knoxville and left her friends and family searching for answers. I know that she could never have any enemies. It may have been a stalker if the paper is right. She was such a positive part of life and her friendship was truly a wonderful gift. If you read this please consider a moment of silence on December 6th each year in honor of a superbly great spirit. No one had the right to take such a positive life from those lives that she touched. Thank you and I will miss my friend."
